First let begin I think Dr. Hand has a great bedside manner & does take time with you as a patient of his. My surgery went well, along with follow up visits. The customer service I received from trying to get an appointment scheduled was very unprofessional. This includes April who is even more unprofessional and rude concerning her phone ethic. There is a polite way to get your point across, try it, it may go along way !!!!! Unfortunately, if I recommend Dr. Hand, I will give him a positive recommendation. But, I will mention the the disappointment with the unpleasant treatment I received from the above comment.

Doctor Hand was recommended by many to my husband and me. We booked an appointment a month in advance and when I called to confirm the appointment a week before, the receptioinist (a women) was so rude. Now , I am not exaggerating when i say the rudest human being I have ever encountered. She was basically yelling at me because I was confused and trying to figure out what happened. And she said you do not have an appointment. I said well you called me a month ago and asked me to bring in my X-rays . She screamed and said WELL that's not true and he is not available. I said ok I will go somewhere else. She said great!

Just wanted to thank Dr. Hand and his staff for the wonderful care I am receiving. My operation went well and the concern and through care I have been receiving has been just great. His help with getting me into another specialist for my hand problem is greatly appreciated. It is nice to get that personal and caring service in this very busy and over worked medical field right now. His staff mirrors the same concern as he does. Thank you for your care and help.

I could not be more pleased with the care I received from Dr Schofield and his entire team. I called his office and was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member for scheduling of my first appointment. During every interaction Dr Schofield was patient, answered questions and provided insight and advise. His team handled pre-authorizations from insurance, obtaining clearance from other medical providers and scheduling the surgery at Advance Surgical Center. Post operative follow up has been great. Dr Schofield is an excellent surgeon.

Dr. John Hand is a highly sought after surgeon who has a very demanding schedule. He is regularly called to remedy complicated emergency and potentially debilitating injuries. My experience with Dr. Hand was exceptional. New patients may have to wait for an appointment due to the demand for his health services. Worth the wait so call in advance!

Very disappointed in this practice. Dr. Hand came highly recommended. I called for an appointment. I spoke with a young lady, she took all my information including insurance. She kept putting me on hold. I was on the phone for a total of 35 minutes when she told me she would have to talk to Dr Hand's assistant and get back to me. That was on a Friday. She left me a voicemail on Monday, I called her back and left a voicemail. I called again on Tuesday. I was told that Dr hand wasnt scheduling appointments until May. On Wednesday i called to make an appointment with Dr Schofield. The receptionist (I believe it was the same girl I spoke with on Friday) was very rude. I told her since Dr Hand couldn't see me until May, I wanted to make an appointment with Dr Schofield. She became aggressive and said I gave her the wrong insurance information when in fact, she told me I'd have to wait until May. We went back and forth before I hung up. She would not last if she was an employee of mine.
