Britanny Nichols is a board-certified physician assistant to Dr. Brian Schofield. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 2010, and received her Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Florida College of Medicine in 2013. She is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.
Britanny was a ballet dancer from the age of 4, and she has always had an interest in how the body works and what can be done to prevent injury. She has been working for Schofield, Hand and Bright Orthopedics since October 2015 after working several years in the emergency department as a physician assistant. She assists Dr. Schofield in surgical cases, as well as seeing patients in the office for pre-operative and post-operative appointments, as well as seeing new patients for their upper extremity orthopedic needs.
Britanny was born and raised in Sarasota and in her spare time enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
